We’re getting a dog. He’s a stray, 9 mos old. Mix of Whippet and more…. probably some kinda bull terrier in there. We’ll get him on Sat morn from a nearby shelter.

Father’s Day
Spent the day at our local minor league stadium. Charlotte’s softball teamed was honored before the game, accompanying the home team as the players were announced. Everybody had a good, long day at the park. Lex got a foul ball, and all kids got to run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game.
Piano Duet
Lex and Charlotte started piano lessons last October. They had a little recital today. I gotta say, I’m impressed by how much they’ve achieved. Hope you like it.

I’ve been trying to digitize some home movies. Came across this. Charlotte’s 4, Lex 2. We laughed and laughed.
Good News – Bad News
First the good news. Last night Lex & I finished building his 1st skateboard. We actually laminated 7 layers of wood, sanded, painted 2 colors, cut out a graphic for the grip surface, attached trucks, bearings and wheels.
The maiden voyage came at about 8pm last night and I don’t think the board has left his side since.
The bad news: I’m having surgery to repair a classic groin hernia tomorrow.
Charlotte 10th: Party #1 & #2
Had a little ice cream cake with Nana last night. Tonight the big party, a sleep-over of 10 girls. Whee!!
Tonight, in lieu of cake, Charlotte decided to have the chocolate fountain.
