We are the mundane
It was 6 degs yesterday morning when I snapped this shot of our hotel. What was I thinking….. Montreal in Feb?!
But we’ve had a great time. Just cool to hang with the kids in a foreign land. They both tried snails one night, Charlotte actually ate it.
We’re on the train home now. A long ride, but kind of an adventure in itself. really beautiful, especially along Lake Champlain.
The Wall St Journal digital edition did a story about the folks that go to see the Macy’s floats being inflated. Lisman has a couple soundbites, the only bites, and the kids are in the shot.
We’re getting a dog. He’s a stray, 9 mos old. Mix of Whippet and more…. probably some kinda bull terrier in there. We’ll get him on Sat morn from a nearby shelter.
She didn’t know UncleLar. She mentioned she wasn’t 21 yet. I’m not sure what that has to do with it…
Spent the day at our local minor league stadium. Charlotte’s softball teamed was honored before the game, accompanying the home team as the players were announced. Everybody had a good, long day at the park. Lex got a foul ball, and all kids got to run the bases and play catch in the outfield after the game.
Lex and Charlotte started piano lessons last October. They had a little recital today. I gotta say, I’m impressed by how much they’ve achieved. Hope you like it.
Not us, we’re drinking rum. No, at the Dominiom Club in St. Croix’s rainforest, today we had the highlight of our trip so far. We bought a couple beers for a couple big pigs.
